Luikar
Lu is a spirit medium who channels ghosts into his body in order to lay them to rest. He is optimistic to a fault and frequently gets him and his boyfriend Cazarus into trouble with his self-assured reasoning that nothing could go wrong.
Relationships: Cazarus (partner in all senses of the word)
Cazarus
Caz is an exorcist who uses his skill to lay malevolent spirits to rest. He is constantly nervous and needs his boyfriend Luikar to talk him out of anxiety spirals. Commonly thought to be "the one with the braincell" but he can be just as stubborn and foolhardy as Lu, just in the opposite direction.

Lysua
Lysua is a goddess of nature and the circle of life. She is known for being capricious (heh) and moody, although her sense of justice and righteousness runs strong. She has a strained relationship with her twin sister Myta as they disagree how to run the world they've been put in charge of.
Relationships: Myta (twin sister, rival), Sclythe (absentee mother)
Myta
Myta is a goddess of intellect and the spirit. She is known for being remarkably patient and kind, despite her intimidating appearance (she has given up on attempting to look human or friendly). She wishes she had a better relationship with Lysua.
Relationships: Lysua (twin sister, constant pain), Sclythe (increasingly erratic mother)
Sclythe

Sclythe is an ancient goddess of creation who has gone senile. Her actual body has long ago decayed and she is held together only by her powerful magic and her increasingly frayed sense of self. Her appearance shifts constantly as she forgets how her form is 'supposed' to look. The only three constants: Five ruby red eyes, five golden horns, and a scar on her face (to the degree she has a face at any given moment) that she'll never forget
Relationships: Lysua, Myta (her two daughters who she largely abandoned to rule a world on their own)

Idra
Idra is a self-described witch and magical researcher. She has a chaotic, manic energy that hides a deep depression she's trying her damndest not to acknowledge. Frequently seen with a notebook scribbling furiously, or with a pack of homemade cards which she uses in spells. She is known to get lost in her own little world and completely ignore even basic responsibilities in favor of somenew rabbit hole in her research.
Relationships: Salihah (best friend, though it's been a little strained lately), Talei (sibling and confidant), Varien (mutually suspicious acquaintances), Gabrias (she keeps accidentally bullying him)
Salihah
Salihah used to be an absolute terror as a child, breaking rules for fun, until a close call with her fire powers set her on the straight and narrow. Now as an adult she is, as Idra puts it, a lot less fun, more focused on things like "her career" and "paying bills" and "when was the last time you went outside Idra, please don't say last month". If you're not subject to her nagging, though, she's quite friendly and outgoing, although she has an inability to sit still that can be dizzying.
Relationships: Idra (best friend, accidental caretaker), Varien (girlfriend), Talei (about as close as xe lets anyone but xir sister get), Gabrias (that sort of awkward thing where she's dating his best friend so they feel like they should be friendly, right, but they don't have much in common other than Varien, and it feels weird to talk about her behind her back, so there's a lot of awkward silences)
Varien
Varien is trying to find herself as an individual, apart from her wealthy and powerful parents. She has very few practical skills or experience but likes to insert herself in places she doesn't really belong. Luckily she has found a bit of a niche in helping Gabrias deal with people - she is loud and crass where he is meek and quiet, and will come to his defense whether he likes it or not.
Relationships: Salihah (dating), Gabrias (ride or die besties), Idra (dislikes, she was mean to Gabe!!!)
Gabrias
Gabrias is a nurse trying his best with volunteer work at a disaster site, despite being completely overwhelmed. He is shy and deeply self-conscious about his missing horns. He tends to take on more work than he can handle and has difficulty saying no to people. Fortunately (mostly) Varien glommed onto him and has made it her mission to be assertive for him. He genuinely likes her quite a bit despite her abrasive nature; they've bonded over their mutual love of trashy romance novels.
Relationships: Varien (besties, his white knight), Salihah (trying to be friends but it's strained), Idra (no thank you she is scary)
Talei

Talei is Idra's younger sibling and largely underestimated partner to her magic studies. Xe is selectively mute, only speaking to Idra and even then only occasionally. Xe would prefer to not interact with any other people, ever, and just spend all xir time unraveling the secrets of magic, but unfortunately life demands being social sometimes.
Relationships: Idra (beloved sister), Salihah (is ok I guess)
